Build a Daily Routine
Pets thrive on predictability. A simple daily rhythm looks like:
- Morning: fresh water, breakfast, 15-min walk
- Midday: potty break + 10-min play
- Evening: dinner, training session (5 minutes is plenty)
- Bedtime: calm snuggles, no rough play
Grooming Is Health Care
Brushing isn’t just about looks — it distributes natural oils, removes loose fur, and lets you spot lumps, ticks, or skin issues early. Aim for 2–3 brushes a week for short coats, daily for long coats.
Dental Health Matters
By age 3, 80% of pets have dental disease. Brush 3× a week with pet-safe toothpaste, offer dental sticks, and schedule annual vet cleanings. Bad breath is not normal — it’s a warning sign.
Mental Exercise Counts
A 15-minute training session tires a dog out as much as a 45-minute walk. Puzzle toys, sniff walks, and rotating toys weekly keep pets sharp and out of trouble.
